Media and Innovation Days, New Delhi

SASNET and School of Journalism arranged a 3-day workshop from December 10-12, 2015 at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, India. Teachers, researchers and students participated as speakers and panel hosts.

The event consisted of 21 interactive sessions and created a lot of attention on social media as well as in the auditorium.

The three-day workshop Media and Innovation Days welcomed about 100 guests per day. Among the visitors where 40-50 master students from India Today Media Institute, 20 PhD-students from Centre for Culture, Media and Media Governance (CCMG) at Jamia Milia Islamia, researchers from JNU, many journalists, entrepreneurs, social innovators and SI-alumni from India. The universities where selected in discussions with our Indian partners.

Centre for Work, Technology and Social Change (WTS) and SASNET also gave the annual award #Innnovationforgood where 1 lakh rupees (100 000 rs) was awarded to one social innovator who uses technology for social change. The board decided to give the first prize to Factly and honorary awards to India loves Pakistan and Citizen Matters.
